"Sweden's Pirate Party has won a seat in the European Parliament.

Wow, 7.1% of the vote :eek: I suppose having TPB trial only shortly before the EU parliamentary elections certainly gave them an advantage in terms of publicity.

Thoughts on this?

Hopefully that helps them out, but whatever happened with the appeal? Is that still ongoing too?

the pirate party is becoming pretty popular in germany right now.
in some regions they reached up to 9,7 % of the votes in the province elections.
they are seventh biggest party in germany after the green party.
