start with trackes with open sign-ups and that's all. Given private ones, I started with what.cd and Pedro since being a music fan. It depends on what you need and what you can contribute to the tracker you are invited in.

Take advantage of open signups & invite/interview channels. Any site is a good start if you have patience and follow the rules. It's not hard to maintain a ratio on any site unless you get greedy & impatient.

Start with 1 that you will enjoy & use frequently and go from there. My first site was a major TV tracker.

Agree with you Lex, IPt is underrated by the masses. People have the unfortunate tendency to blind themselves and associate the quality of a site by Its rarity or difficulty to access. As you can quite easily find an IPt ticket...people rapidly forget what an amazing tracker that It is. Actually, It has all It takes: good pretimes and content, active and helpful staff and community...

The fact is, that we do such 'suggested' associations everyday and for everything...that's very sad...

Personally i would recommend all trackers that have a helpful staff and supporting community. What difference does it make if its hard to come by...

If you are starting out, Generally i would think that someone... most often a friend would give u an invite to a site. (one of my first trackers was TL). If thats not the case and u are starting out by yourself you would most likely sooner or later end up with having found FileShareFreak, and their awesome tracker list. and sooner or later u will find a tracker that has open signup atm,

Patience and lots of it gets u into saught after trackers, but i think if youre starting out, you dont know about levels or hard to get into trackers...u just take what u can get. I was among the lucky ones that got into some great trackers with great communitys that was very helpful to me although i was (and still is in some ways) a n00b.

so my point is... its not about the tracker itself i think, its about the community/staff within the tracker. And that can be found from the very bottom to the top.

I completely support your view PrinZone (and I'm far from being the only one). Indeed, You can find files everywhere by several ways, Torrenting is definitively one the best if not the best. And apart of some exception, you may find almost the same content in almost all general trackers (especially zeroday ones).

We can, generally, still buy the wanted release or material...The thing that is far more difficult to buy is friendships and making some helpful contacts within some unique communities. So, Actually the quality of a tracker (or any 'social' platform) belongs to It's membership constitution (especially staff)...There are actually some 'restricted' high level called trackers that I've been (and certainly most of us) highly disappointed by, they are still very good technically...And there are ones that totally worth It just by the staff members that run It...

So, +1 for your statement PrinZ, I can't agree more :smile1:

There is absolutly no problem Rsomer and we're here to help.

You can prove yourself, by being active on the site, taking part in the discussions, cause we need to know you more before inviting you. The thing is that when you invite somebody to most of the private trackers, you are responsible for who you invite. If your invitee do something bad, the inviter will be generally banned. That is why, you'll see people being very careful about their invites.

Actually, just the fact that you ask me question about it is showing that you care and that you are serious. Keep it up, and everything will be just fine.

A nice tracker to cut your teeth on is h33t, easy to join, pretty easy to use torrent search & categories, never picked up any viruses, plus a lot of comments on the torrent's. Don't know if anyone mentioned along the way, but for me my No. 1 rule for downloads is to Read The Comments, if no comments I will seldom risk the download, if negative ones, I will usually not download unless proven wrong by other postes.
Be careful no matter what site you use.
