Some people cheat with fake upload programs ... but I think private sites' protections can detect it and auto-ban them so i wouldn't suggest anyone doing it if they care about their account.

Its not just that, i just think the people that break the rules should get banned not the invitee. How was the invitee suppose to know that it was gonna happen?

i also have an experience like yours. and i think it's worse. i was banned at demonoid(don't laugh,i still use it sometimes), before the new year starts. no one pm'ed me or emailed me that my account was banned. i never really knew what happened until i signed up during open registration and went straight to the forum and pm'ed one of the staff(yea,i was surprised that i was still able to create an account). and the reason they gave me was that the one who invited me was caught selling invites, although he gave it free for me long time ago. kind of strange too coz demonoid invites are given for free at every invites forum. good thing is that i can keep my new account and start at a clean slate.

well, i never really thought that i'll be banned at demonoid, where a low ratio is sort of meaningless ...lol
