Well I would really like to move up in the private torrent community, fast. Considering I just started this kind of stuff about 2 weeks ago Id say im doing pretty good as far as a good supply of reliable trackers. But as I get higher and higher in the community, the competition gets more and more fierce and my max upload is 50 kb/s which means each torrent is only like uploading 8 kb/s.... not good. Also i would like a seedbox so I can get invites and increase my rep on TI. I plan on getting one tonight FINALLY because a lot of stores didnt have any prepaid Visa cards in stock. I think Im going to buy one from the same place RedHook did i forget what the place is called but I hope it works out for me.

sweet but i have no money to purchase a seed box..
I just started using a seedbox, got one from seedbox.me. The price was right, $10 a month for 10 gigs and 3 active torrents max. Unlimited transfer. I like it for several reasons. Being able to run torrents without clogging up my connection is nice, massive pron dvds or movies or whatever really screws with my voip and online gaming. I have DSL, so my bandwidth is limited. I live in a rural area and my ISP is the only one available, at reasonable prices, here. It's a small locally owned biz. In fact, I have been informed several times that I was "pirating" and shut off for a day or so. With a seedbox I can dl whatever and not worry about the legality issues. I can also go to visit people and quickly retrieve the latest movie or cd from my seedbox. The faster connection is another plus, but there is one thing I have noticed. My connection with seedbox.me's servers isn't the best. I think I will find an option that is geographicaly closer to me.

I was going to say something so similar to this. Judging by your status as Promotions Manager, I'd say your status is much higher than it was in your early days back then. I'm rather hoping to make speedy progress through the community as well.
I've been in the file sharing world for several weeks now and so far I haven't bothered to ask or beg for invites like I've seen some people do. I'd rather get a good reputation with high ratios first. Besides I haven't got my own internet connection at home yet, but that will be arranged at the end of this month as soon as I know for sure if I am moving or not.
Nevertheless I have signed up to a few private trackers and I have still managed to maintain good ratios on all of them. On one of them I've uploaded nearly 20GB in a week. However I realise that competition is high in the community and I am a very competitive person. Therefore I see a seedbox as my most likely way forward.
As I am still really new, I'd like to know as much as possible about seedboxes before I choose one. If anyone can advise me on this please feel free to PM me.

Its just cool being able to download stuff in a couple of seconds and you build up a nice buffer at the same time. and for people with sucky speeds it helps fix the ratio and you have the satisfaction of knowing your ratio is higher than others.

I have been contemplating a seedbox rental for a while. After reading this I'm now committed. I've been doing it old school for so long I'm use to it lol. My upload seed rate max is 80-90 kbs, give or take. Verizon sucks here and caps me big time. I love seeding. I only DL/UP at a couple public sites. One of them is out of commission and I miss it :(. I'll try this and see if it helps get my ratio up faster. Thanks for convincing me guys!

I am seriously considering purchasing a seedbox early in the new year. I've narrowed it down to three separate web sites.
superseedbox.com has a nice package system. I'll probably try the "Copper" one first if I sign up there. It offers 25 GB of space with 100 MBPS and a max 4 torrent capacity at only $15 per month. I've read some great reviews.
xirvik.com is a bit unfamiliar to me at the moment. If I were to go with them I'd probably try the TI special ratio saver package. It's priced at $19.95 per month. Upload averages around 1-2 MB/s, with peaks of 3-4 MB/s on very active torrents.
And lastly, epicseeds.com They regularly offer a "test run" on their seedboxes for 24 hour periods which I think is a smart way to build a loyal clientele. I might try to get one of those "prizes" first to see what I'm getting myself into. I definitely need to read more tutorials on seedboxes and how they work, etc.
I mean, I understand the basics but I just want to make sure I completely get it, you know? Heh.

i need seedbox because the upload limitation from my ISP is ridiculous... its like 1/10th of the download limit... :(
and i do believe there are many people out there facing the same problems...

I just built a personal seedbox and wouldn't mind sharing it in exchange for feedback & private invites. It is configured for 3 active torrents per user without a disk limit (except for physical which is 300gig).

I would get one so that I don't get kicked out of certain private trackers in the future lol
it already happened once and I learned it the hard way :(

a great thing about a seedbox is the security as well because its not attached to your isp, so no governemnt interference or letters.
but the speed both ul and dl are un-matched.

So I just got a Seedbox and with my home connection (50Mbps Down, 25Mbps) it's going to help out any private tracker I join. I seed 24/7 but I've found that I need to get a few more private trackers to join to help, I'm no where near my upload limit of my connection and I would like to be with the communities I'm a part of.... What are some of the best Private Trackers you can think of?
Thanks,
Zytoc

I used ultraseeds.org , very good server , good speed, i used economy 4 pack, speed is 200 Mb/s , 8 people sharing, good gui and fast, 20$ is this pack.
Xirvik is also one of my best servers, i used it couple of times and each time they work great, good support, good speed, fast gui. recommendation
Now i am using Santrex , for now they are ok. For 19$ you get very good pack, 70gb space, unlimited torrents, 100mbit/s line, very good.
For now i am sticking with these 3 servers , and they are my recommendation to use.

Which one of the three should I get? I'm looking to get an additional Seedbox for my private torrents, and my main concern is upload speed.

my recommendation is Xirvik, they are really very good , upload speed are same whit all three , thats a 100mbit/s line that is shared, or if you wanna buy dedicated server that is 100mbit/s line just for you , dedicated is about 55$ a month , its the same witch server you take, they are all good, xirvik is very good, i used it many times and upload speed is never below 10MB/s.
